The AWS Storage Gateway service has expanded the capabilities of its Tape Gateway virtual tape library (VTL), adding support for Dell EMC NetWorker v9 as a supported backup application. You can now easily switch from tape to cloud backups using the Tape Gateway with Dell EMC NetWorker v9, while preserving established backup management processes. Backup applications write data to a local Tape Gateway appliance on-premises, and the Storage Gateway service stores the backups in a cloud-based VTL that uses scalable, cost-effective, and secure Amazon S3 and Amazon Glacier storage.
